Shipping & Returns

Shipping Policy

We ship orders every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, following a first-come, first-served process. If there’s a high volume, we may also ship on Thursday. We do not ship on Fridays, weekends, or during long holiday weekends.

Shipping pauses 1–2 weeks before Christmas to avoid delays with USPS and UPS, and resumes the first week of January.

Domestic Shipping

  • Most plants larger than 3” pots are shipped bare root, unless otherwise requested. If you’d like your plant shipped in its pot, please contact us — additional shipping fees may apply.
  • Soil shipment restrictions may apply based on your location.
  • Tracking details will be emailed once your order ships.
  • We ship via USPS Priority (2–3 days) and UPS Ground.

Holding Orders

We’re happy to hold your order for a future ship date — whether you’re traveling or expecting cold weather. If a held plant doesn’t make it, we’ll refund it. If it’s the only item in your order, we’ll refund the full order including shipping. Reach out if you’d like to hold your order.

Combining Orders

We review and combine orders weekly — including across platforms like our website and Etsy. If you’re placing multiple orders, feel free to send us a heads-up. We’ll notify you if combining isn’t possible due to plant size or other concerns.

Winter Shipping Reminder

Please monitor your local weather. Most of our plants aren’t cold-hardy and can be damaged in temperatures below 40°F. If cold weather is expected, consider waiting to order or add a heat pack. If a heat pack is included and the plant is damaged, we can issue a refund or replacement.

Order Issues

Not happy with your order? Contact us first before leaving a review — we’re committed to making things right.

Report any issues within 7 days of delivery with photos of the plant and packaging. We’re human, and we truly appreciate kindness and patience when resolving problems.

Plants in Transit

Some plants may drop leaves or appear wilted after transit — especially trees, drought-deciduous, or soft-leafed varieties. This is normal! Allow them to rest and water well — they usually bounce back within 1–2 weeks.

Lost or Stolen Packages

If your order is marked “Delivered” but you can’t find it:

  1. Check around your property and with neighbors.
  2. Contact your local post office.
  3. Unfortunately, we are not responsible for packages once marked as delivered.

Plant Guarantee

We can’t guarantee plant success after 7 days in your care — every grower and environment is different. But we’re always happy to offer free growing advice!

Returns

If you’re unhappy with your plant, you can return it within 7 days of delivery. We’ll send you a prepaid return label — no questions asked. Once returned, you’ll receive a refund for the plant cost (not including original shipping or discounts). Please ship it back the same day or next.

Repotting Disclaimer

If you receive a plant in a pot, do not repot immediately. Let it adjust for 1–2 months. Repotting too soon can stress the plant, and we can’t offer refunds in these cases. For bare-root plants that fail within 7 days, send photos and we’ll work with you on a resolution.

Order Cancellation After Shipment

Changed your mind after we’ve shipped? You can refuse delivery or request a prepaid return label. Once the package is returned to us, we’ll refund the plant cost. Intercepting a package costs $24+, so a return label is preferred.

Third-Party Couriers

We do not allow orders to third-party couriers for unauthorized international exports. Orders flagged as such will be cancelled and refunded.

Hoya Return Policy (Hoyas Only)

  • All Hoya sales are final unless the plant arrives dead.
  • If dead on arrival, send a photo within 24 hours of delivery to info@npcycadsfarm.com.
  • If the wrong plant arrives or one is missing, let us know within 7 days, and we’ll refund or replace it.

All Hoyas are sold in 6” hanging baskets unless otherwise noted.

Tree Shipping Tips

New tree? If it’s leafless — don’t worry! It’s likely dormant, not dead.
Care instructions:

  • Use a 70/30 soil-to-perlite mix.
  • Place in a warm, shady spot.
  • Water every 2 weeks (less in dormancy), increasing to once a week when leaves return.
  • Use Osmocote Plus once it starts growing again.

Large Plant & Bulk Orders

Larger plants (2+ gallons) or orders of 15+ items may require additional shipping charges. If needed, we’ll contact you with the updated cost and provide a screenshot of the quote. If you’re overcharged, we’ll refund the difference. If it’s off by $5 or less, we’ll cover the extra ourselves.

We never profit from shipping.
